Artist Statement
"Pure emotions first... From a subject comes the authentic desire to create a painting by always pushing technical limits in order to access a mystery, beyond physical representation. This is what drives me".
"Emotions pures d’abord… d’un sujet, vient le désir cristallin de créer un tableau avec une détermination à ne pas céder à la facilité et pousser les limites techniques pour accéder au mystère, au-delà de la représentation physique. Voilà l’essence de mon évolution".
Education
1987 - 1989 : Art History Studies in Paris at the Ecole du Louvre.
1990 - 1994 : Drawing studies of nude models at the Ateliers de la ville de Paris (ink, acrylic, charcoal, pencil).
2000 - 2002 : Intense practice of Pastel technique with Alain Victor, great french Master Pastellist.

Cecile teaches many workshops in France and in the USA.
