"Every day I walk the Mississippi bank, sit, listen, meditate in silence. Driftwood, a noble material provided with no limits from the interaction of all elements, washed and embellished by the natural flow of Nature, offers by its colors and shapes such an interesting material to give life to timeless sculptures".

 

Cecile Houel became passionated about driftwood sculpturing. She didn't expect the "gifts of the mighty river" would open a brand new field of her creativity.
